ਅਖਾਣ: ਆਖਾਂ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ॥
Akhan: Akhan dhee nu sunavan noon nu
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਅਸਿੱਧੇ ਰੂਪ ‘ਚ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
Literal Translation: Saying to daughter, but meaning for daughter-in-law
