ਅਖਾਣ: ਆਇਆ ਬੀਬੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਰਾ ਉੱਜੜ ਗਿਆ ਤਖਤ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾ॥
Akhan: Aaya Bibi Da Wara Ujhar Gaya Takht Hazara
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਜਾਂ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਉਣ ‘ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਸਤੂ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ।
Literal Translation: When the lady’s turn came, the throne of Hazara was destroyed.
Meaning (English): A powerful or decisive person arrived, causing major disruption.
English Equivalent: When the cat’s away, the mice play. (loosely, context-dependent)
