ਅਖਾਣ: ਉਹ ਮਾਂ ਮਰ ਗਈ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਦਹੀਂ-ਮੱਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਟੁੱਕ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ॥
Akhan: Uh maan mar gayi jidhri dahi-makkhan naal tukk dindi si
ਅਰਥ: ਬੀਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਸੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਆਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: The mother died who fed bread with curd and butter.
Meaning (English): Good times are gone with the caretaker.
English Equivalent: The golden days are over.
