ਅਖਾਣ: ਰਾਕੀ (ਇਰਾਕੀ) ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਤ, ਗਧੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਟਾ
Akhan: Raaki (Iraqi) Nu Saint, Gadhe Nu Sota
ਅਰਥ: ਸਿਆਣਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਠੁਕਣ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: A rogue to a saint, a donkey to a whip
Meaning (English): Wrong tools or actions for the wrong person are ineffective.
English Equivalent: You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
