ਅਖਾਣ: ਰੰਡਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਕੁੜਮਾਈ, ਆਪਣੀ ਕਰੇ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਈ
Akhan: Randa Gaya Karaun Kurdmai, Apni Kare Ki Parai
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ੈ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸ਼ੈ ਉਹਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਕੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਸ ਹੀ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ੈ।
Literal Translation: The eunuch gets others married; does he care for his own?
Meaning (English): Some people help others but neglect themselves.
English Equivalent: Sweep others’ floors before your own.
