ਅਖਾਣ: ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਪਾਉ ਤੇ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢੋ
Akhan: Maan nu chhupao te dhi nu kadho
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਧੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਤੇ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹੋਣ।
Literal Translation: Hide from mother, reveal to daughter
Meaning (English): Secrets are hard to keep from close family
English Equivalent: A secret’s safe only with strangers
