ਅਖਾਣ: ਅੱਡ ਖਾਏ ਸੋ ਡੱਡ (ਹੱਡ) ਖਾਏ। ਵੰਡ ਖਾਏ ਸੋ ਖੰਡ ਖਾਏ॥
Akhan: Add Khaye So Dadd (Hadd) Khaye. Vand Khaye So Khand Khaye
ਅਰਥ: ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੈ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੰਡ ਕੇ ਖਾਣ ਵਰਤਣ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼।
Literal Translation: One who eats the husk also eats the kernel; one who shares eats the sugar
Meaning (English): Actions have consequences; what you do affects the result
English Equivalent: You reap what you sow
