ਅਖਾਣ: ਬਿੱਲੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੀਂਹ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੀਂਹ ਬਿੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਆਇਆ
Akhan: Billi Ne Sheenh Parhaaya Te Sheenh Billi Nu Khaan Aaya
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲ ਪੋਸ ਕੇ, ਸਿਖਾ-ਪੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਰੀਏ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁਧ ਹੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਅਖਾਣ ਵਰਤੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: The cat taught the lion, but the lion came to eat the cat.
Meaning (English): Teaching the powerful can be dangerous.
English Equivalent: Don’t teach a tiger to hunt.
