ਅਖਾਣ: ਨਾਨੀ ਖਸਮ ਕਰੇ, ਤੇ ਦੋਹਤਾ ਚੱਟੀ ਭਰੇ॥
Akhan: Nani Khasam Kare, Te Dohata Chatti Bhare
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਕਸੂਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਰੇ, ਤੇ ਉਹਦਾ ਡੰਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਨਾ ਪਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Literal Translation: Grandmother punishes, mother fills chest
Meaning (English): Family members both nurture and discipline
