ਅਖਾਣ: ਨਮਾਜ਼ ਬਖ਼ਸਾਉਣ ਗਏ ਗਲ਼ ਰੋਜ਼ੇ ਪਾਏ॥
Akhan: Namaaz Bakhsauṇ Gaye Gal Roze Paaye
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦੋਂ ਇਕ ਔਕੜ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਲਈ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਉਲਟੀ ਹੋਰ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਗਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ।
Literal Translation: Went to forgive prayers, ended up fasting
Meaning (English): Trying to do good but fails
English Equivalent: The road to hell is paved with good intentions
