ਅਖਾਣ: ਧੀਆਂ ਧੰਨ ਪਰਾਇਆ॥
Akhan: Dhiyan Dhann Paraya
ਅਰਥ: ਧੀਆਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਘਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: Daughters are blessed but belong to others
Meaning (English): Daughters bring blessings to their parents but eventually join another family
English Equivalent: A daughter is a treasure that will leave home
