ਅਖਾਣ: ਧਾਗਾ ਲੰਮਾ, ਕਾਹਦਾ ਗੰਮਾ॥
Akhan: Dhaaga Lamma, Kaahda Gamma
ਅਰਥ: ਖਾਈ ਭਲੀ ਕਿ ਮਾਈ। ਖਾਈ ਭਲੀ ਕਿ ਜਾਈ॥
Literal Translation: Long thread, short warp
Meaning (English): Having only one strong quality is insufficient; everything must be proportionate
English Equivalent: All that is long is not strong
