ਅਖਾਣ: ਤੇਲ ਵੇਖੋ ਤੇਲ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਵੇਖੋ॥
Akhan: Tel Vekho Tel Di Dhar Vekho
ਅਰਥ: ਕਾਹਲੇ ਨਾ ਪਵੋ, ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਹਾਰੋ, ਵੇਖੋ ਤਾਂ ਸਹੀ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਕੀ ਪਲਟਾ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Literal Translation: Look at the oil and the flow of oil.
Meaning (English): Examine things closely before judging.
English Equivalent: Don’t judge a book by its cover.
