ਅਖਾਣ: ਤੀਰ ਕਮਾਨੋਂ ਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੋ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ॥
Akhan: Teer Kamanon Te Gall Zubano Nikle Wapis Nahi Aunde
ਅਰਥ: ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਜਾਂ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: Arrows from a bow and words from the mouth do not return.
Meaning (English): Once said or done, words and actions cannot be undone.
English Equivalent: Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. (partial overlap)
