ਅਖਾਣ: ਜਿਧਰ ਗਈਆ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ, ਉਧਰ ਗਏ ਮਲਾਹ॥
Akhan: Jidhar Gaiya Beriyan, Udhar Gaye Malah
ਅਰਥ: ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਸੁਖ ਜਾਂ ਦੁਖ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ।
Literal Translation: Where the boats go, there go the boatmen.
Meaning (English): Leaders follow the path set by circumstances.
English Equivalent: Follow the crowd.
