ਅਖਾਣ: ਜਾਹ ਨੀ ਧੀਏ ਰਾਵੀ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਵੀ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਵੀ॥
Akhan: Jaah Ni Dheeae Ravi Na Koi Aavi Te Na Koi Jawi
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਘੱਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
Literal Translation: There is no stream in the valley; no one comes or goes
Meaning (English): Isolated, stagnant situation
English Equivalent: Dead as a doornail
