ਅਖਾਣ: ਛਿੱਕਾ ਟੁੱਟਾ ਬਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀਂ॥
Akhan: Chhikka tootta billi de bhaagein
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਕਿਸੇ ਧਿਰ ਦਾ ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਜਣਾ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾ ਲਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Literal Translation: The broken bowl falls to the cat
Meaning (English): Misfortune or leftovers often go to opportunists
