ਅਖਾਣ: ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਦੀ ਜੋਰੂ। ਜਣੇ ਖਣੇ ਦੀ ਭਾਬੀ॥
Akhan: Gareeb Di Joru. Jane Khane Di Bhabi
ਅਰਥ: ਮਾੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਧੱਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: The poor man’s wife, the rich man’s sister-in-law
Meaning (English): Poverty and wealth define social respect and attention.
English Equivalent: Poverty shame, wealth fame.
