ਅਖਾਣ: ਗਊ ਪੁੰਨ ਦੀ। ਦੰਦ ਕੌਣ ਗਿਣੇ॥
Akhan: Gau Punn Di. Dand Kaun Ginne
ਅਰਥ: ਮੁਫਤ ਦੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕੌਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: Whose cow is it? Who counts the teeth?
Meaning (English): You cannot benefit from someone else’s property without responsibility.
English Equivalent: Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
