ਅਖਾਣ: ਖੂਹ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਖੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ
Akhan: Khuh Di Mitti Khuh Nu Hi Lagg Jandi Hai
ਅਰਥ: ਏਥੋਂ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉੱਨਾ ਹੀ ਏਥੇ ਖਰਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: Well’s soil sticks only to the well
Meaning (English): People are influenced only by their immediate surroundings or experiences.
English Equivalent: Birds of a feather flock together.
