ਅਖਾਣ: ਕੁੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਪੂਛ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵੰਝਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਵਿੰਗੀ ਦੀ ਵਿੰਗੀ॥
Akhan: Kutte Di Pooch Nu Baran Varhe Vanjli Vich Pa Chhaddiya. Oh Fer Vi Vingi Di Vingi
ਅਰਥ: ਪੱਕ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਜਾਂ ਜੁਮਾਂਦਰੂ ਸੁਭਾ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
Literal Translation: Even after leaving a dog’s tail in a flute for 12 years, it remains crooked.
Meaning (English): Some flaws cannot be corrected no matter how hard you try.
English Equivalent: A leopard cannot change its spots.
