ਅਖਾਣ: ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵਗਾਰ ਖੇਚਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਈਦੀ॥
Akhan: Kise Nu Vagar Khechal Nahi Paidi
ਅਰਥ: ਪਰ ਜਦ ਧੀ-ਪੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਲੋੜ ਜਾਂ ਔਖਿਆਈ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਪੇ ਢੀਠ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੰਗਣ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਚਲ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Literal Translation: No one feels the pull of the plough.
Meaning (English): Not everyone has the patience or inclination to do hard work.
English Equivalent: Hard work is not for everyone.
