ਅਖਾਣ: ਕੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਤੇ ਬਾਂਦਰ ਮੱਲਾਹ॥
Akhan: Kakhhan Di Bedi Te Bandar Mallah.
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਔਖਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੇ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਸਪੁਰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
Literal Translation: A flimsy raft and a monkey as a boatman.
Meaning (English): Incompetent people handling important tasks.
English Equivalent: A fox guarding the henhouse.
