ਅਖਾਣ: ਹਾਂਡੀ ਉਬਲੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਕੰਢੇ ਸਾੜੇਗੀ
Akhan: Haandi ublegi, taan aapne hi kandhe saaregi.
ਅਰਥ: ਮਾੜੇ ਨਿਤਾਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾੜਦਾ ਭੁੰਨਦਾ ਤੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਸਕਦਾ।
Literal Translation: When the pot boils, it burns its own handles.
Meaning (English): When trouble arises, those closest are most affected.
English Equivalent: “Caught in the crossfire.”
