ਅਖਾਣ: ਉੱਠੇ ਤਾਂ ਉੱਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਰੇਤੇ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਠ॥
Akhan: Uthe taan utth, nahi taan rete di muth
ਅਰਥ: ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਰਨ ਫਿਰਨ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇ।
Literal Translation: If he rises, fine; if not, just a fist of sand.
Meaning (English): No big loss either way.
English Equivalent: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
