ਅਖਾਣ: ਸਰਫਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁੱਤੀ। ਆਟਾ ਖਾ ਗਈ ਕੁੱਤੀ॥
Akhan: Sarfa Karke Sutti. Aata Kha Gayi Kutti.
ਅਰਥ: ਜਦ ਕੋਈ ਸੂਮ ਬੱਚਤ ਕਰੇ ਪਰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਵੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ।
Literal Translation: After counting, she slept; the dog ate the flour.
Meaning (English): Planning without action is useless.
English Equivalent: Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
