ਅਖਾਣ: ਉੱਚੀ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਫਿੱਕਾ ਪਕਵਾਨ॥
Akhan: Uchi dukaan, phikka pakwan
ਅਰਥ: ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ। ਪਰ ਵਾਹ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾੜਾ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਣਾ।
Literal Translation: Big shop but tasteless food.
Meaning (English): Showy outside, poor inside.
English Equivalent: Great boast, small roast.
