ਅਖਾਣ: ਸ਼ਰੀਕ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਮਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ॥
Akhan: Shareek Mitti Da Vi Maan Nahi.
ਅਰਥ: ਇਹ ਅਖ਼ਾਣ ਸ਼ਰੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰੀਕਾਂ ਵਲ ਮੰਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Literal Translation: Even a partner of soil has no respect.
Meaning (English): One often gets no recognition for minor contributions.
English Equivalent: No good deed goes unnoticed (sarcastically, sometimes).
